Description Mike B 2013-06-19 04:22:33 UTC
Entering text into a file LO 4 randomly crashed with a message box about saving files, very quickly restarts, then goes through the file recovery dialog. So far, the file has always recovered, but it doesn't leave a good feeling about long-term data security. Has crashed 4 times in an hour while creating a file that's now up to only 3 pages. No particular action appears to trigger it - random - as if LO runs out of some kind of resource, trips over itself, then immediately recovers.

First crash happened after only a few paragraphs, before even saving it otherwise. Current file is using docx save format for compatibility with office use - filetype doesn't seem to matter.

Computer: Intel Core 2 Extreme (quad-core), 6GB RAM, ample hard disk space, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

3.6.6.2 and earlier did not do this. Will post the actual error message next time it occurs, if it gives me a chance to write it down (message windows flash past quickly).

Could you attach problematic document to allow others to check on different
system/build?

LibreOffice 4.0.x is in End Of Life state and no answer from the reporter. Therefore marking this as INVALID.
Please file a new report if the problem is reproducible with latest stable version (currently 4.1.4).
