Can't confirm this on OS X 10.8.4, LO 4.1.0.2.0. Win only? Could you please try the latest LO release: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ I have no copying issues too (Win7 64bit; LibO 4.0.4.2) the description is not very accurate... so changing status to NEEDINFO @miapuffia@gmail.com please give us more info: 1- how do you exactly copy text? mouse right click? Ctrl+C? 2- is you problem happening with a particular file or with any file? 3- does it happens only in Calc or in Writer as well? Copying text with right-click, copy or ctrl-c have the same delay. My dad tried it on his computer with the same result. That is, copying something. This is only in Calc. strange I've never experienced such delays... do you mean copying the text inside a Calc file cell? does it really takes 6 second to effectively paste it elsewhere? try downloading the portable version of Lib from this link: http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.1354 does the portable version show the same slowness? Copying anything has this effect. For example, copying text from the Find and Replace tool does the same thing. I can copy this text here just fine so it's not my computer. tell me if selecting the text inside cell A1 takes effectively 6 seconds as you said.
moreover tell me where those 6 seconds take place? during text selection or after pasting it in another cell? in my computer there's no visible delay doing this.
did you effectively tried the portable version a s I suggested? does it behave the same?
do you have any clipboard software that may interfere with LibO?
I tried your file and copied all text perfectly. The delay was at the moment of copying. Selecting the text or pasting it had no delay. I have not tried the portable version yet but do I still need to? It looks like you found the issue and fixed it with that file. If you don't see any delay using that simple test file, I wonder that your issue depends on a particular file you were using... can you please upload a file where you still experience that delay? I was using my spreadsheet today, but everything was fine... Not a single delay when copying. Maybe I needed to restart my computer? Wow. Sorry for everyone's time. |
Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Copy something Current behavior: It takes about 6 seconds to copy text only a few characters long to the clipboard. Expected behavior: Text is copied to the clipboard instantaneously. Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.0.4.2 release
