When LO determines that high contrast mode should be automatically enabled it is rather awkward for the user who doesn't want this to disable the changes (once they've figured out what causes it).

= To reproduce =
* Start LOo on a Linux desktop environment with a dark theme
* Notice very alarming theme and take steps to try and disable it
* Disable auto HC detection (Options -> LibreOffice -> Accessibility -> Automatically detect....)
* Change the icon style back to the default (Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Icon size and style)

This is issue is mitigated somewhat by a recent change to disable auto-detection of high contrast mode by default, however it would probably be worthwhile to review this workflow.

I feel a change that the user didn't trigger should be easier to revert.

There is no actual suggestion here - if you want an enhancement please figure out what that enhancement should be. Saying "make it better" just isn't sufficient. I suggest joining the UX mailing list and discussing it with them and then after you have an idea of how to make it better, let us know in a new bug report. Thanks
