Upon further experimentation, it seems the crash is related to the slide master itself, in particular applying a gradient to the page setup in master view. This was related to microsoft indexing on a local google drive. turning indexing off solved the problem. |
Problem description: After applying particular formatting to text boxes of the master slide, Impress crashes when you attempt to save the file. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a presentation in Impress 2. View -> Master -> Slide Master 3. Right click on the border of any text box 4. Select Area 5. In the Area tab, select white as the fill color 6. In the Transparency tab, select transparency to be 100% 7. Close master view 8. Edit some text in a text box that would be affected by the above master slide formatting changes 9. Attempt to save the file Current behavior: Impress crashes (non-responsive) Expected behavior: Saves the file as normal Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.1.0.4 release
