Adobe forms support multiple checkbox types. It would be very nice if LibreOffice supported more than the default "X" when exporting FDF. Specifically, the "square" style at 18 points results in a nearly completely filled box, which is perfect for OMR scanning.

The different types of checkboxes are listed here (Acrobat Pro and LiveCycle Designer offer the same options):

This should be a relatively simple addition to the control properties dialog...

according to what you say LibO has just one single type of exportable checkbox, right?

I see no way of changing the type of box to something other than an X-mark.

OK. setting this as NEW. 
as far as I know such feature is not present in any OOo/AOO/LibO release.
