Hi, You can always select an existing object by pressing the Tab key in the area until you reach the object you want. An empty text box doesn't exist if it's empty. A text box with non visible char is an existing object that you can reach with Tab as said above. To know how to navigate in a slide, check the online help all the shortcuts are indicated. I'm closing this issue. If you think it's not the good behavior please request an enhancement. Sophie Works for me - if only it was a bit more obvious! |
This may be a misunderstanding but how do you select an empty textbox or a text box with blank characters in it? To explain more carefully - say I have a text box in a slide and enter some text into it - to select it I have to actually click on the text inside the box to select the box (either on a character or between characters), clicking anywhere else is ignored. If the box is empty or only contains a non visible character (spaces or CRs) it appears to be impossible to select the box any more. It is hugely annoying - for all I know the box may be being deleted as soon as it is non-visible but this seems as bonkers as not being able to select the box.
