file the crash happens

Problem description:
When opening an older document (created in 3.5) LO crashes with "LibreOffice Document recovery" message.
This has been seen on one file only so far after upgrading from 3.5x to 4.0.4.2. I opened this file with the portable version 3.5 and there is no crash.

I have also problems with not printing all hidden text in another document but there I found a workaround by enabling all check boxes under TOOLS - OPTIONS - LIBREOFFICEWRITER - FORMATTINGAIDS - DISPLAY OF (not only the three boxes related to hidden). This behavior also exists in the portable version 3.5, so maybe it is a corruption in that specific file or a mistake of mine during editing.

I have the feeling that the crash is related to hidden text. When I delete the frames with hidden text in 3.5 I can open the file in 4.x.

I run WinXP SP3, Microsoft office 2007 installed in parallel.
Did not have the chance to check this on another PC.

If you need more information let me know.
Thanks & Regards Jan

Steps to reproduce:
1. open attached .odt in 4.0.4.2 and 3.5
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Last worked in: 3.5 all versions

Hello Jan, Thank you for reporting this bug.
I can reproduce this bug in Version 4.0.4.2 (Build ID: 9e9821abd0ffdbc09cd8c52eaa574fa09eb08f2)

But not anymore in Version 4.0.5.2 (Build ID: 5464147a081647a250913f19c0715bca595af2f)

So I think it is fixed.
I recommend to update to 4.0.5.2 (recommended/stable) or 4.1.x (early adopters) if possible.

OS: mac osx 10.8.4

Hi Thomas,
thanks a lot, not crashing anymore in Version: 4.1.1.2.
(The problem with the other document not printing all hidden text is still there - no problem since I know how to workaround. Likely I did something weird during editing)
