Hi, I'can confirm the bug. I tried on Gnumeric too. While open the file, gave the following error: Undefined number format id '43' Undefined number format id '41' Undefined number format id '44' Undefined number format id '42' after clicking close button, it opens the file and takes 10 secs to get response from the spreadsheet. Hi jkonecny, thanks for reporting. No error open, but take a long time, also take a long time change from sheet to sheet. There are thousands of styles, maybe this is the issue Win7x64 Version 4.0.5.2 (Build ID: 5464147a081647a250913f19c0715bca595af2f) Version: 4.1.2.0.0+ Build ID: aa9bef8271ed50a397c959ed53c91ee44b3dcb1 TinderBox: Win-x86@6-debug, Branch:libreoffice-4-1, Time: 2013-09-03_11:55:14 Also found that trying to delete styles is so slow that I had to end task on it. I found a macro that deletes styles and ran it. There were in fact close to 20000 styles. How the user created so many styles I don't know or maybe excel creates these styles? But anyway, after deleting the 20000 styles the document was usable. The amount of styles is no doubt extreme and likely unnecessary however LO needs to be able to handle this amount of styles to be better compatibility with the excel file format. As I said in the original report, excel can open this file in 1 second. Link to the style deleting macro... http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2399 Opened in a couple of seconds on Win 7 64-bit 4.3.2.2. Saving took maybe 20-30 seconds. Please test again. We've switched to msoffice. Feel free to close this. |
Created attachment 85728 [details] xlsx file that exhibits problem Open the attached file and note that it takes a long time (about 2 minutes on my machine) to open. I edited the original file and re-saved it without private data so I could post it in bugzilla. It takes 10's of minutes, maybe 100's to save the file. Excel viewer (I don't have full excel) opens the file in about 1 second. Operating System: Windows XP Version: 4.1.1.2 release
