Description gian luca rasponi 2013-09-19 14:52:55 UTC
Problem description: I can access values of an Access database file via ODBC but as soon as I try to insert/modify a value in the database, LibreOffice Base crashes.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect to the Access database file via ODBC
2. browse random row/field
3. update a value in the field
4. confirm with return

Current behavior:

Error message: "Errore nello scrivere il record di dati corrente" "[Microsoft][Driver ODBC Microsoft Access] Segnalibro non Valido" that sounds like "Error writing current data record" "[.. ..] Invalid bookmark".

Details of error message are:

Stato SQL: HY000
Codice di errore: -1045

[Microsoft][Driver ODBC Microsoft Access] Segnalibro non valido.

Expected behavior:

Field value is updated correctly when opening same Base file with OOO Base 3.4.1.
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.0.3.3 release

Gian: just for the test, could you give a try to 4.1.1?
Comment 2 gian luca rasponi 2013-09-20 11:30:30 UTC
I was able to reproduce bug in Libreoffice 4.1.1.2.

I was NOT able to reproduce bug in Libreoffice 3.6.4.3.

gian: would it be possible you retrieve a backtrace by following this link? (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#Windows:_How_to_get_a_backtrace)

Hi Julien,

of course it is possible but it will take time as I'm new to that.

I will post results ASAP.

Thanks

Gian: any update with 4.1.3? (retrieving backtrace has been made more simple, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg)
Comment 6 gian luca rasponi 2014-03-24 19:48:52 UTC
I was not able to get backtrace.

Looks like issue disappeared as of 4.1.3 up to at least 4.2.1.

regards

Thank you for your feedback Gian, I put it WFM.
Don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you can still reproduce this.
