Hello, 
since the last update to 4.1.1.2, I have a problem with the tasks pane in Impress : 

Normally, when I created a new slide show, it opened in the normal view, showing in the middle the new slide, on the left side the slides view pane and on the right side the tasks pane with the formatting and animatino options. 

Now the tasks pane is not showing in the "normal" view anymore. 
However it shows when I switch to the "Notes" pane.
When switching back to the "normal" view, it disappears again. 
I can the undock the tasks pane when in the "Notes" view, but upon switching to the "normal" view, it will disappear again. 

In the "View" menu, the is no menu point "tasks pane" anymore.

The only way to open the tasks pane I found was to right click on an element and choose "animation", then it would show. 

It seems that the tasks pane will only show when there is an animation in the slide show, but to put an animation in the slide show you need the tasks pane ...


Or am I missing somnething ?

On which env are you?
Did you install some LO specific extensions?
Could you rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and give it a new try?

Probably because you closed it sometime ago, As LO remembers it's state (see Bug 35973)

It's a duplicate of Bug 68160.

I don't think that it is simply a problem of LO remembering that I closed it : I had three instances of impress open yesterday evening, all three with tasks pane shown, closed properly, restarted LO this morning : not Tasks pane in Impress.

I'm running LO under windows 7 Professionnel, french version Version 6.1 (numéro 7601:Service Pack 1)
 I have LanguageTool installed, as well as the Mendeley Desktop plugin. 

I renamed my user profile directory and re-run LO -> when starting a new presentation, the tasks pane did show ! Great. 

However now I need to reinstall the plugins and verify all my preferences. 

Is there perhaps not just one file to copy from the new user directory to the old to correct this problem ? 


Anyway, there is still the problem, that there is no menu point in the View menu that concerns the tasks pane (as there is for the slides pane).

So why did you change the status to WORKSFORME? I'll change it back to DUPLICATE.
