should be fixed as per bug 67743 Can you test 4.1.2.3 please? (is to be the final for 4.1.2) http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/ Bug 67743 relates to adding new entries, I can add new AutoCorrect entries, but they lose all formatting (font size, colour, style, line breaks etc) and use the formatting of the document instead. I installed Version: 4.1.2.3 Build ID: 40b2d7fde7e8d2d7bc5a449dc65df4d08a7dd38 and the same behaviour occurs. On closer inspection this appears to be related to Bug 64699 and bug 67697. These bugs are marked as solved, so how long will it be before a working build is available? Fixed in this version: Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: e30a34f7d7aa3bee338e2cb0323fa153de12f098 TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2013-10-03_07:14:31 But I don't feel safe running an alpha all day :) |
Problem description: New autocorrect entries are forced as text only regardless of the text-only tick box status. All formatting is lost when creating new entries. This used to work in older versions of OpenOffice (circa 2009), but does not work in later versions or LibreOffice Steps to reproduce: 1. Select formatted text on page (Formatted differently so you can tell if it has worked later) 2. Tools -> AutoCorrect options, add a new replace entry. (Make sure "text only" is not ticked) 3. Go back to document and use the autocorrect entry 4. Observe the custom formatting is lost and the new text has same formatting as current document. Current behavior: Formatting is lost even when "text only" is not ticked. Expected behavior: (From help page) You can use the AutoCorrect feature to apply a specific character format to a word or abbreviation. Select the formatted text in your document, open this dialog, clear the Text only box, and then enter the text that you want to replace in the Replace box. With: Enter the replacement text, graphic, frame, or OLE object that you want to replace the text in the Replace box. If you have selected text, a graphic, a frame, or an OLE object in your document, the relevant information is already entered here. Text only: Saves the entry in the With box without formatting. When the replacement is made, the text uses the same format as the document text. Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.1.1.2 release
