When creating presentations, it is very frustrating to see the toolbar disappear so often: for example, if you switch from between "title and one content" and "title and two contents" and are editing the content area. Another way it disappears is when you are editing the content area and click on the title area. Then, when you bring it back (the most frustrating part of it), is that it is useless because it does not show a font or font size, even when you click in an edited area. It is a challenge to bring it back, sometimes easier than others. I believe it is a big loss, at least of time in my case. In my case, the OS is OpenSuse 12.3, but I have seen this bug for a long time; it has been there since the OpenOffice days. are you still seeing this issue with 4.1.5 or 4.2.0 final releases? I guess that now with the side panel this issue is resolved, it is enable by default in Impress in the 4.2 series and on demand in 4.1 series. Also, to modify the font in one action, use styles and modify the font inside it. Closing, please reopen and set an enhancement if you reproduce with the last versions. Sophie |
Problem description: When editing multiple, or even sometime a single text box, the text edit toolbar disappears. It seems that many tool bars 'autohide' when they think they are not useful. The text format toolbar should ALWAYS be shown. Whenever I open up a ppt pres in libreoffice the fonts are always messed up. I want to be able to select all objects on a page (select window across the page) and hit the 'reduce font size to next level' button -- or 'Change all fonts to x'. Expected behavior: The toolbars should not autohide when the program 'thinks' they will not be used because often the program is wrong. Also it makes things very tricky to find because they are always disappearing and reappearing. Operating System: Debian Version: 4.0.2.2 release
