Not reproducible with LO 4.0.6.2 (Win7 32bit). Please provide detailed information, what file format did you use? You could also attach sample spreadsheet file so it's easier for us to triage the problem. I have found that if I open writer, type in a few letters such as aaaaa then copy it is OK with the copied file on the second page. I can then delete the few letters and away we go! not reproducible with 4.1.3.2 under Win7 64bit @ianpf: Hi, please don't reply using your e-mail client, it causes some unpleasant results in BugZilla. Please use the web interface instead. It's located at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71553. Thanks. (In reply to comment #0) > 3. Save writer document.... Save to ODT, DOC, or DOCX ? Created attachment 89195 [details]
Table of information re dates and texts for readers
The document is saved in odt the saved format appears to be ods I'm using this simple steps to reproduce: 1. Select cells A7:D28 from ODS attached & copy (ctrl-c) 2. Paste (ctrl-v) to new text document 3. Save as ODT & close 4. Reopen the ODT Can't reproduce the issue with LO 4.0.6.2 (Win7 32bit) I repeated these step and lo! It worked this time! This is weird. I mark this as RESOLVED WORKSFORME feel free to reopen if you still reproduce this issue in a consistent way If I copy the whole spread sheet , the saved odt document is blank. If I save a part it seems to work. So the trouble remains I'm afraid. Ian Created attachment 89317 [details]

If I open your test .ods file in Calc then "Edit -> Select All" copy with Ctrl-C open new .odt file paste with Ctrl-V the table is correctly copied from the .ods to the .odt and the file is still normal after closing and reloading Created attachment 89322 [details]
odt spreadsheet
This is the spreadsheet that seems to be the trouble. I save the the data by selecting the table from bottom up with mouse. Then copy to desktop (either crl-c or copy in Edit.) Open writer document, and paste (either ctrl-p or copy in Edit.)
Copy appears. I click in body of text (anchor disappears) and save.
Close and reopen from desktop. Document is blank.
Same result from either copy/paste commands
Ian
I still do not reproduce it. try resetting you user profile and see if it changes things (backup first) https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile |
