[PROBLEM SOLVED] The Issues I addressed here have been solved. A user from the openSUSE forums stated: "Are you using KDE? Then you most likely miss the package libreoffice-kde4 (it conflicts with ibus, which is installed by default). So either install that package (and uninstall ibus), or check the settings in "Configure Desktop"->"Application Appearance"->GTK (that should apply to libreoffice, if the KDE integration is not installed)." After following the suggestion, that is when the issues I addressed here got resolved and things (font sizes, etc.) are back to the way I'm accustomed to. Obviously, when I upgraded openSUSE KDE from 12.3 to 13.1, it apparently removed the "libreoffice-kde4" package and installed the "ibus" ones instead. I did fail to mention I'm using KDE in the initial report here, and in the requests for help in the forums. Clifton Hi Clifton, I’m glad that you found the solution to the problem. Don’t hesitate to report any bug you may find in the future. Also, you can ask questions at ask.libreoffice.org. |
Problem description: After upgrading to openSUSE 13.1 from 12.3, LibreOffice was upgraded to Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 410m0(Build:2); with the upgrade, LibreOffice is not adhering to the Font Sizes of the System Settings, and appears to be 6pt in size. The other applications show no problem of this. This goes for the Menu Titles & entires, the listings in the Navigator, Styles & Formatting, Tools -> Options, and File Dialog (for opening and saving Files), which BTW, I was not using LibreOffice Dialogs for files, but now the issue is forced. The option in Options -> LibreOffice -> General now has the selection for "Print Dialogs" [Use LibreOffice Dialogs] and that is unchecked. Current behavior: Font Size as explained above too small, at least in Write and Calc. Not adhering to openSUSE System Settings for Fonts. The "Scaling" does not work good enough to compensate because it makes everything else too big; I'm accustomed to a font size of 14pt for the items explained above. Expected behavior: Adherence to System Settings for Fonts, respectfully. Operating System: openSUSE Version: 3.6.0.4 release
