Description Sciuriware 2013-11-30 07:48:00 UTC
I start LibreOffice mostly from JAVA, i.e. by swriter etc.
On MSWindows this has worked for many years, and STILL DOES!
As these binaries are gone on OSX, how do I start LibreOffice components from the command line?
Is there a binary that accepts all types of documents instead?
Thanks.

P.S.: On OSX I 'went' back to 4.0.4 which still had swriter a.s.o.

Use soffice --writer etc. Check soffice --help for a complete list.

And soffice will even load the proper component based on file type if you don’t specify any.
