When the user points the mouse cursor over a formula element of the toolbox a tooltip with the corresponding syntax should be displayed. It will be help the not advanced users to learn the formula syntax. This behavior maybe should be configurable in settings.

Example:
[ ] * [ ]
should display
<?> times <?>

I disagree because it seems to me more valuable to read the meaning of the formula than to see its syntax because the job of the toolbox is to make the knowledge of the syntax useless. Additionally clicking on an element pastes this syntax in the code window, so you can learn the syntax you want by trying it.

So, we can close this, or maybe we can improve toolbox?
Comment 3 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2014-03-04 05:03:52 UTC
Closing as WontFix.
Please, feel free to reopen, if you have an idea to improve the toolbox without loosing the informations actually displayed.
