Document-crashes-when-inserting-SVG.odt

Writer crashes when dealing with graphics, particular when inserting SVGs. This is always reproducible on my system. I think it has something to do with overlapping of graphics and/or rotation of graphics.

How to reproduce:
* Open attached .odt file
* You see the text "X Insert here the SVG". Choose "Insert" -> "Image" -> "From File" and select the SVG file which is attached to this bug report.

-> Writer immediately crashes.

LibreOffice: Version: 4.2.0.2, Build-ID: 601a398b803303d1a40a3299729531824fe0db56
System: Ubuntu 13.04

I set the severity to "blocker" for three reasons:
- because this bug results in data loss
- because I encountered the bug just after a few second "playing" with the release candidate
- because I encountered the bug in different situations with different graphics

Checked with:
Version: 4.2.0.2
Build ID: cd65d6220c5694ee7012d7863bcde3455c9e3c30
Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 bit

Could not reproduce. Inserted a SVG at X text, here and there few times. No crash.

Attached a gdbtrace.log. (In that environment it crashes actually before I insert the SVG)

I tested a bit further with this bug. I can also reproduce the crashes with a fresh LibreOffice user profile and LO version 4.1.4. Please see gdbtrace.log attached.

LO-version: 4.1.4.2, Build-ID: 410m0(Build:2)
Ubuntu 13.04, 64-Bit

Hi Gerry, three people were unable to reproduce the problem with 4.2.0.2. Please check and see if the issue persists with that version: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

After updating to 4.2.3, I cannot reproduce the bug anymore.

I close it as RESOLVED -> WORKSFORME

Thanks for testing!
