The format displayed in the tooltip is x-axis format not the data point format.

The format of the column is month day year but the tooltip just displays month year (the format of the x-axis).

The attached spreadsheet/chart displays "Data Point 1, data series 1, values: Jan 2014 1" when hovering over the first data point.
It should display the format of the original data "Data Point 1, data series 1, values: Jan 1, 2014 1"

Can't reproduce with version 4.1.3 under Debian or 4.2.0 under Ubuntu. The tooltip displays day, month, year, value - Sophie

LibreOffice 4.2.1.1 release

@bjlockie - if you can confirm this running 4.2.1.1 release then mark it as UNCONFIRMED but going to assume it was fixed in the mean time between your version and 4.2.1.1 release (a lot of work went into this stuff in the mean time so likely it was resolved).
