Problem description: 
Cannot paste Excel selection of cells as bitmap into Writer
Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy selected cells in Excel
2. Paste special...bitmap into Writer


Current behavior:
nothing is happening
Expected behavior:
to have copied cells pasted as picture in Writer
              
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.1.4.2 release

Hi Georgi,

thanks for your report, but may I ask, what is the use of copying from Excel and then pasting in Writer?
Wouldn't you open in Calc and then paste ?

Yes of course that it is possible to open it with Calc, but the point is that it should work also from Excel (its a info placed in the clipboard and then pasted). For some reason this way its not working.

P.S. In my case I'm using .xls file with build in VBA macros, that is the reason to use Excel.

Guessing that is OS/setting dependent?
Or maybe you have tried with a more recent version?
e.g. 4.3.1.2 or a daily build?

Hmm... Just a note: sometimes I to experience that after a copy in another program, paste special is not available. Haven't tried to find out when/how. However, this seems different from the initial comment anyway.
