Hi All,

My File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) software (CimTrak) caught the following changes (“Modified Files”). These changes were not initiated by the user. They were automatic. Why? Who told them they could do this on the own?

What is a *.sdv file and can they be used to compromise a machine?

File
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\sg36.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\sounds.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\arrows.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\sg3.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\diagrams.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\arrows.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\diagrams.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\computers.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\environment.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 4\share\gallery\sg4.sdv
C:\Program Files\LibreO

Many thanks,
-T

Dear Todd,

Can you test if this functionality still exists with LibreOffice 4.2.5 or 4.3.0.

It has been quiet since 4.2.5.2. No Cim Trak reports at all.

Hi Todd,

All the *.sdv files are gallery images than be inserted into a document. I'm not sure why they may have changed but there shouldnt be anything of alarm about such files.
