This was a regression error that got introduced some time back. Well some information is left out here but I can't confirm so marking as WFM. Also is no way is this a blocker - changing that - at best it's major (blocker is literally "almost every user will be unable to use the product" - this is a loss of data in very specific circumstances which most users don't use. Ubuntu 13.10 LibreOffice 4.2.2.1 & 4.3 built a few days ago. Both work fine - attached is a document that shows the variable there. If you can confirm this on 4.2.2.1 please do the following: 1. Let us know your operating system 2. Let us know what version of LibreOffice and then mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED again (you may have to mark it as NEEDINFO first, apologies, it's a limitation of the bug tracker). Document with Saved Variables
|
This bug was fixed in OpenOffice. When a variable is inserted into a document, it is not being saved. Use Case: Open new document. Use menu: .Insert ..Other ...Variables ....User Field >> Name = Test >> Value = Test >> click return arrow Save the document. Close the document. Open the document. The variables are no longer present.
