Go back to LO 3.4.x or earlier and try opening your document with that, then resave without the password. The encryption mechanism changed when 3.6 came out, but some of the changes were backported to 3.5.x (x = 6 or 7) from what I recall. This is almost certainly a duplicate of previously filed bug reports, that may or may not be resolved. When Writer open old document (OpenOffice.org 1) with password always say that password isn't correct. If I create any document and save it as OpenOffice with password I can't open - always password isn't correct Operating System: All Version: 4.1.4.2 release
