Description Clopper Almon 2014-03-18 23:59:50 UTC
The Image Control in LibreOffice Base is a great feature and puts Base far ahead of MS Access for displaying images of which the database contains only the filename. However, it would be great to be able to zoom in on the image and use scroll bars to look at various parts of it in detail. Currently, users of my database of images must copy the filename of the picture they want to examine closely, go over to an image-viewing program, and paste in that filename. That's not really hard, but it is a bit tedious with many images to be examined. Zoom with scroll bars right there in the Base form would be impressive.

It's right, you couldn't zoom in the images the control shows.
So I have created a little macro which opens the images of the control with the external imageviewer of your system when pressing a separate button. Makes the same you described: reading the path of the file, opening the file with the viewer of your system.
