Description Robert Huber 2014-04-06 10:46:56 UTC
My database file opens like a charm in 4.1.5.2. when i open the same file in 4.2.0.4 i get two errors when i click on my database form

The connection to the data source "Recipes_rh" could not be established.

and

SQL Status: S1000
Error code: -40

General error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.sun.star.sdbcx.comp.hsqldb.StorageFileAccess.isStreamElement(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Z

i am attaching the database

i assume some files have been moved around for the newer version but this is a very annoying problem as i have to keep an old version of libreoffice around just so i can open the file

Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release? Currently 4.2.2: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/

Please also try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

Thanks a stack, version 4.2.2 does indeed fix this problem. When Libreofice 4.1.5.2 checks for new updates, it unfortunately tells me that everything is up to date - so I never manually checked for the new version. All good here now and happy as a clam ... thanks again.

No problem. I know, LO update mechanisms have been a big complaint of mine for quite some time. They case great confusino and frustration on both user and QA side of things.

Hope this will improve in the future.
