Hi Peter, try resetting the user profile, maybe some hidden issue updating. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile Hm, not happening here with 4.2.3 OSX 10.9.2. Sounds odd. Could you re-install 4.2.3, reset user profile and then when the problem re-appears, check console.app if it spits any related errors? Today I re-installed release 4.2.3 but didn't reset the user profile. I edited a complex document for a couple of hours and the fault didn't re-occur. I will continue using 4.2.3 tomorrow and let you know the outcome. The problem seemed like the document spontaneously became read-only. Regards Have now used 4.2.3 for two days since re-installing.
