Example of displayed garbage

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start new document in Writer.
2. Enable View->Fields Shading.
2. Insert->Fields->Other, select Functions tab, select Type "Input field", press Insert. "Input Field" dialog appears.
3. In "Input Field" dialog press OK - field inserted.

Expected behavior: empty text field should be shown (grey box).

Hi, I cannot reproduce with a new document or your document, version 4.2.4.2 on Ubuntu 14.04. Could you try to insert it with English locale set, may be it's a problem with your locale? Thanks - Sophie

I see this bug only in Windows (Windows 7 64 bit). Can somebody test it in Windows? I don't think it will reproduce on GNU/Linux.

On Windows XP 32 bit with LibreOffice 4.2.4.2 bug is not reproducible for me.

Confirmed that bug doesn't exist in 4.3.3.2 (Win 7 64-bit).
Note that you can't currently test this on 4.4 alpha because of bug 85562
