Since the last release, the default bullet style "look funny". Previously, the default bullets were small circles. Now they are larger and have a number "10" inside them. I have searched for a place to change the default bullet style, and cannot find where I would do this, which means that I have to manually change the bullet style each time I use bullets. These also show up this way when I print.

None of this was a problem prior to the latest release.

Hi Ginette,

Thanks for your report.
I guess that it's best to first ask for user-support. For exmaple there is a group of users with a great variety of skills that can offer help with questions:
  http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/

If you are sure that there is no problem with how you should use the functions, and that there is a bug or a need for a serious enhancement, pls reopen this issue and give a sample editable document with a clear step by step description.

Kind regards
Cor
