All these (no association with odf files, no open with for ms office documents, and no document templates) confirmed on Windows XP SP3 - 4.3.0.0.beta1 When you run the installer in 'custom' mode, it asks if a user wishes to associate ms office documents, but not in 'typical' mode. This beta1 build is not in final release format. It will not make the default Windows file associations.
