Sample docx file shown on the screenshot of LibreOffice and WPS

Problem description: Opening docx files that includes header graphic (letter logo) using LibreOffice 4.2.4 on openSUSE 13.1 or Windows results in a messed up header graphic with compressed height and such unreadable.

This behaviour has been the case at least back to 97 doc files and that time OpenOffice versions.

On the other hand, Kingsoft WPS-office alpha12p3 on openSUSE 13.1 is able to open the same docx file correctly.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the attached sample docx file in LibreOffice
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior:Messed up and unreadable header graphic

Expected behavior:The header graphic should be correct reproduced as shown on the attached screen shot of Kingsoft Writer (side by side with corrupted graphic in LibreOffice Writer.)

Operating System: openSUSE
Version: 4.2.4.2 release

hi ttester,

thanks for the clear description and screen shots.
I confirm the problem.

It's not a graphic, but a drawing object by the way.
In an older version of LibreOffice, the position was wrong too..

regards,
Cor

Hi Cor,

As orientation I posted previously a related graphical bug for LibreOffice Writer in Novell Bugzilla:
Bug 779834 - LibreOffice Writer mess up docx graphical elements

Miklos Vajna replied:

"The crash part is fixed with
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=b5a1db9

The fix will be available in upstream 3.7 and I also backported it to the SUSE
3.5 branch.

Regarding the graphics, as far as I see only the header graphics is
problematic, which is an EMF file; please open a separate bug for that if you
want to have that fixed, that's independent from the DOCX format. "
