Description Rpnpif 2014-06-26 17:00:07 UTC
I copied and pasted a text in a blank page of Writer.
I wanted completed this text with other sentences.

The cursor position did not match the position of the modified text. In addition, the display of the sentence in question did not refresh correctly.
Then it is impossible to continue editing and I have to close and open the document again to edit.

On the capture above, note that the end of the paragraph is before the last character.

Hello Rpnpif,

Can you supply the file that you sent the screenshot with, so we can investigate the issue. Please also let us know which graphics card you have, which driver you are using for it and which version of linux your running.

This file was build from a copy-paste in an empty writer file of a plain text from claws-mail. I have not keep this file.

I cannot reproduce it but I have the same issue in the past. I note that often this (relatively rare) issue occurs when I make numerous modifications of a plain text.

My CPU is an APU A4-5300 of AMD with an embedded video chipset "Aruba" ATI Radeon (same as ATI HD 6700, I think). The driver is radeon (r600).

The distribution is a modified Wheezy Debian with a 3.12.22 linux kernel and packages from official wheezy-backports repository. My WM is Xfce.

I have tired to copy-paste plain text from thunderbird and couldnt reproduce the issue. The next time you see this issue, please do make a note of it and what steps were needed to reproduce it and then open up a new bug.

I believe it might be a simple redraw issue and pressing alt+tab twice would likely fix it. If that doesnt fix it, then i assume it a display corruption issue caused by your graphics driver, and that using the proprietary amd driver would fix it.
