No LibreOffice Draw is not a PDF editor, it will never be a PDF editor. LibreOffice uses Popplar with Cairo to render the content of PDFs as ODG drawings. And when exporting back out to PDF, LibreOffice uses Cairo. Enhancements to either of those projects are incorporated into LibreOffice, but there are limitations as to the PDF standards LibreOffice is able to support, both on import filtering and on export. Well, that sounded a bit too extreme :-) Calc is already a PDF editor; and although it’s true that we’re not focused in DTP, if you file clear, specific bug reports or enhancement requests, they will be triaged and considered individually. |
