Hi, spell checking is depending on the language set on the Character style, so if you change the language (by copy and paste of some text most of the time) and if the spell checker of this language is not set in the style, it won't work. So to have a consistent behavior, set a character style or a paragraph style (F11) with the defined language you want to use and stick to that paragraph style. If you copy and paste text, use paste special (ctrl+shift+V) and paste without formatting.
