Bug 84753

Summary: EDITING: calc crashes on sorting cells with formulas
Product: LibreOffice Reporter: Norbert Scheibner <scno>
Component: CalcAssignee: Not Assigned <libreoffice-bugs>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal CC: erack, raal
Priority: medium
Version: 4.3.2.2 release
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Whiteboard:
Crash report or crash signature: Regression By:
Attachments: Short test case for sort.

Description Norbert Scheibner 2014-10-07 14:04:07 UTC
Create following example.

| line 1 |      1 |      2 |      5 |      4 |
|      0 | =B1+A2 | =B2+A3 | =B3+A4 | =B4+A5 |

Sort by columns by "line 1" (mark "contains line labels").

 -> CRASH

If row 2 contains data and no formulas then calc doesn't crash.

Tested with 4.3.2

Unable to repro crash with LO 4.3.2.2 - Ubuntu 12.04 x86

Direction: Left to right (sort columns)
Sort options: "Range contains row labels" checked

@Norbert, perhaps I misunderstand the reproducing steps? Have you tried resetting user profile?
Comment 2 Norbert Scheibner 2014-10-07 15:21:43 UTC
TY ign_christian resetting user profile helped.

But I tested on 2 machines and on both calc crashed in my trials.

Sort seems to be a buggy thing these days.

see bug 83764
Comment 4 Eike Rathke 2014-10-10 12:30:26 UTC
Can't reproduce a crash in 4.3.2 either.
Maybe we're trying something different?

@Norbert:
Could you attach a testcase document to reproduce?
Comment 5 Norbert Scheibner 2014-10-10 14:57:28 UTC
Created attachment 107666 [details]
Short test case for sort.
Comment 6 Norbert Scheibner 2014-10-10 14:57:52 UTC
I deleted the user profile which helped at first, but crashes on closing.

Now the error message "vector<T> too long" appears and LO closes.

Test case added.
To reproduce sort with "contains line labels" marked by rows by "Zeile 1" on sheet "Spalten".
Comment 7 raal 2014-10-10 15:34:17 UTC
I can reproduce crash with Version: 4.3.3.0.0+
Build ID: 14907346d792f2f93a00083bbab5086cf56ddb24
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF, Branch:libreoffice-4-3, Time: 2014-09-26_03:56:08

error message: std::bad alloc
Comment 8 Eike Rathke 2015-01-09 23:11:29 UTC
Is this still reproducible with 4.3.5? I believe such crash has been fixed, maybe even with bug 83764. If it is not reproducible anymore then please resolve this bug as worksforme.
