Cell A1 contains correct formula now

Description Robert Wirth 2014-12-10 15:07:51 UTC
After copying one or several cells, they can be pasted only once using "Paste special..." or "Paste Only>"

Any further call to these paste operations open a dialog for pasting "Unformatted Text" only. You have to copy the origin again for pasting again. And again...

This isn't the case in LibreOffice 4.2.7.2, but in 4.3.4.1. Since the change isn't an operational improvement, but an obstruction, it's a bug.

Cell A1 copied and "Paste special.." choosed with only formulas

Marked A1, pressed copy and then "Paste special...".
The "Paste special..." dialog box appears.
Choosed only formulas and press Ok.

"Paste special.." to A3 doesn't work correctly

Marking A3 now, and choosing again "Paste special..." from menu line.

"Paste special..." allows to insert "Unformatted text" only.

Checked again, seems to depend on OS:

What I did:

Given an [*]Ubuntu Trusty with default LibreOffice. Due to the absurd change of sorting behavior in 4.2.7, I do an upgrade to LibreOffice 4.3, getting from Launchpad repository.

- Lubuntu 14.04 is good. LO 4.3.4.1 works normally

- Xubuntu 14.04 shows the copy-past effect. Seen on two different systems (company office and at home)

Maybe the interaction between LO 4.3 and clipboard application is the problem? Might be different in Lubuntu and Xubuntu...

Ubuntu 14.04 x64
LibreOffice 4.4. beta2

So I thought that it could be reproduced but it seems like it cannot. It seems like if you click into a cell and then copy and special paste, the "unformatted text" option comes up. But if you single click and highlight the entire cell and copy and then paste, it comes up with the special dialog.

As we have two QA people unable to reproduce I'm closing this as WFM -

@Robert: If you could try 4.4 beta2 and try to get more explicit instructions (assuming you can continue to reproduce) that would be great and you can set the bug to UNCONFIRMED again. Thanks!
