On which env are you (Windows, Linux, MacOs)? Which LO version do you use? Do you reproduce this on a brand new file? I'll quote reporter's comment: " Windows. Sorry I do not know what version. When I created a new document it worked just fine. I went back to the original document and re-tried the sort and it worked just fine. Thank you so much for your email and your willingness to help!!!
