Installing on a Nexus S with CM 11 (Android 4.4.4) works for me. I'm not sure that I can easily get CM 12 (or a derivative) on my phone, but I could test w/another device.

Do you know anyone else running CM 12 or using Android 5.x?

(Kendy: Have you done any testing w/Android 5?)

FYI 
I tried it on a 4.4.2 Android-x86 image in VirtualBox. It does install, but crashes on opening, after downloading:

I've filed bug 89821 for the Android-x86 problem (as I think it's a separate issue). I'll cc you there as well.

Tested on Nexus 7 2012 + Android 5.0.2, and had no issues installing LO Viewer (same version as above) and opening the test.odt file.

Do you have problems installing any other apks? Try installing firefox from F-droid. The LO Viewer shares some code with it, and that might be a good test to see if this is a problem specific to LO.

I use Firefox from F-Droid without any problem.

But I do have a similar problem with another app:
Network Discovery.

I used that on any Android device I have, but it fails to install on 5.02:
The same (De-)Installation Error.

f-droid specific problems (that are not experieced with the app from the Google Play) would be best to report to f-droid I guess, we do not do those builds. Closing this bug based on comment 4.
