color picker in Office 2013

This is an enhancement to the LO color picker, specifically important when doing color-intensive tasks (mostly in impress or draw).

The normal way to add custom colors is to go Extras -> Options -> LO -> Colors -> Add. This is complicated.

I would like to just have a shortcut inside the color picker, maybe the same way Office does it (see screenshot). I know, you don't like to copy MS :-) but in this case it makes so much sense. It could just be a link to the already existing Options -> Colors window! This would adding a custom color much more intuitive.

On a second note, a Hex-Input field inside the Options -> Color window would be great - it is so much easier when you just have to paste one string instead of three separate values. Most of the CI guides provide hex anyway.

I tested with 4.4 and there already is a Custom color -button like you describe. There also is a hex input, when I click the button.

I'll close this as WFM.

You are right! I was writing that particular report on a machine which - as it turns out - was still on 4.3. Sorry for that!
Boy, Windows really needs an auto-updater!

But: I noticed that the improvement has not made it to the "filling color" picker for Draw/Impress for though. See attached screenshot.
Why is the dropdown picker even different from the line color picker?
It would be nice to have it there as well for UI consistency.

It is in the fill color picker but not in the area fill picker which has drop downs so you can switch from filling with a color, gradient, etc. I have been thinking to add the fill color picker next to the area fill picker so users can use that instead when they are only filling with a color, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

In the next release, users will be using the sidebar for configuring properties according to the reorganized UI.
