That's right. I tested it for a lot of toolbar commands (under LO 4.4.3.2, Win 8.1) and it was always grey and empty. Unfortunately, there is also no LO help available for this dialog, but as far as I understand or suppose, this is a field for a short description for the commands? I think this would a good idea and feature, but unfortunately it seems not to have been used in the past or at least for many commands? Or is it maybe a bug? But if my understanding is right, I would like to keep it and then it would be good if there would descriptions added in the future. Therefore, if I am right, I would not mark it as a bug, maybe only as an enhancement request. @all: Please correct if my understanding and assumption is wrong. @Andy: Quite sure it's a regression, the descriptions are present in 4.3 (will add another attachment) Version: 4.3.7.2 Build ID: 4.3.7.2-6.fc21 Created attachment 116495 [details]

(In reply to Michael from comment #2) > @Andy: Quite sure it's a regression, the descriptions are present in 4.3 > (will add another attachment) > > Version: 4.3.7.2 > Build ID: 4.3.7.2-6.fc21 Thanks for your fast reply. In this case it is really a bug. I did not focus on this in the past. It depends on the offline help package, works for me in 5.0.2 after installing it. Those descriptions correspond to “extended tooltips”, which live in helpcontent2. We’re planning to extract those from the Help eventually. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 61210 *** How about putting in default placeholder text saying "please install helpcontent2" such that it's obvious why the tips are missing? |
