Bug 92182

Summary: drag&drop of mail merge fields from datasource browser is broken

Description Christoph Lutz 2015-06-19 12:57:57 UTC
0) ensure there's a database connection registered (e.g. via tools->mailmerge wizard in writer)
1) create a new writer document
2) press F4 (openes the datasource browser)
3) open the database (mentioned in 0), select a table and try to drag&drop a colum header to the writer document

--> I get the clock symbol, but nothing happens. No mailmerge field is added to the document.

Had this issue with a current libreoffice-5-0 branch, so I assume this is in the master, too.

Thank you, Christoph, for helping us to improve LibreOffice.

This report looks quite like tdf#92037 "UI: Dragging a field from the Data Sources window into a document no longer works". Is it the same problem?

If so, please set this report to status RESOLVED DUPLICATE 92037. If not, tell us what the difference is and set the status of this report back to UNCONFIRMED.

Thank you for your help.
Terry.
