Reproducible of course, but it is not a bug. It is very easy to force LO to make a backup copy: hit Enter then backspace at the end of the file, then ctrl+S to save the file again. I think what you are asking for is conflicting with the strong aim to improve LO performance. Many users will be angry against you if they discover that their file is save twice the first time.
