The current Page Setup -> Background Fill, Bitmap dialog only shows some very low resolution patterns (inherited from StarOffice?), without any option for adding new options.  Please add an import function for choosing a new image pattern from disk.

Format - Styles and Formatting - New Style - TAB Area

In the old release there was a button which can import an external image, now in LibreOffice Writer 5.0.0.5 this option is missing!

This still worked in 4452, and appears to have died or been removed between 4452 and

The bug opener was discussing bug 84344 which relates to Impress and Draw, while commenters are discussing a different bug that has been resolved in 5.0 daily and master.
