Could you give to last stable version 5.0.3?
Comment 2 jonathan.bj.chandler 2015-12-05 01:23:45 UTC
Hi Julien

tried 5.0.3.2 - same problem

what other info can I provide to figure out what it might be?

my computer was windows 7 professional, and I have added it to my homegroup network.
The account I am using has administrator rights to the laptop I am using. So it shouldn't be a permissions issue.

Since you install LO 64 bits, did you check you use Java 64 bits too?
Indeed LO 64 must be used with a Java 64 bits and LO 32 must be used with a Java 32 bits

Also, you can rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
