First of all I want to apologise from my english.

I think that I found a bug in LibreOffice Writer.

I use Writer for write documents in spanish and catalan primarily.
For this reason I have installed spellchecker in spanish and catalan.
I have the problem with the autocorrect. The autocorrect doesn't detect correctly the language that I use.

For example: I write in spanish “intelectual” and the autocorrect change it for “intel·lectual” that it is catalan.

I checked the language in “format > character >” and the language is the correct. And I checked the language in "tools > AutoCorrect Options..." and the language is the correct

I have a similar problem. 

I type in English and French. My LibreOffice 4.4.6.3 interface is in French. My default language for Ubuntu 15.04 on my Lenovo ThinkPad X200 is French. The OS was installed in French. 

The spellcheck on LibreOffice is in French, and misspellings are correctly shown with red squiggly lines for the French Language. 

HOWEVER, for the last week, the autocorrect has been changing French words to English words. 

e.g. I type « respons*A*ble » (French). I see « respons*I*ble » (English).

you are using an obsolete LibO version 4.4.6.3 which is no longer supported.

you are strongly encouraged to upgrade to current LibO 5.0.5.2 stable release which fixed hundred of bugs in respect to the one you are using.

you are also using an out of date LibO version 5.0.2.2
please upgrade too and tell if issue persists.

OK I update my LibO to 5.0.5.2 version and de bug is fixed.
