You can create a timeline-chart in LO Calc like the following with error-bars:

Even with pictures as shown in Figure 2.

The only shortcomming is, that if I use a picture as Data Point Symbol, it is (in LO) transparent against the used error-bar. (Not transparent against a regular chart line!)

It would be really nice, if the picture could be made "not transparent" against an error-bar too.

Maybe it is not a transparency problem, but a foreground/background problem.(Which is also not solveable with currently available user options!)

Bug is still present. No changes in bug behavior.
