two forms
main and sub
created two buttons
buttons acted on sub form
right clicked> form> changed name to MainForm
saved
on click the button is still acting on SubForm
even though name says MainForm. DB name in button is same as MainForm

workaround:
went to form navigator
moved buttons that were under SubForm to MainForm
got desired behavior

Have had a look to the video.
You have changed the name of the subform, where the button is placed in, to "MainForm". The name of a form has nothing to do with the position of main or sub. So you created a main, called "MainForm" and also a sub, called "MainForm".

Seems you expect you could change the position of a control from one form to another form by renaming the form. This won't ever work.

The only possibility to move the control to another form is to use the navigator.

If you wish an enhancement for this: There should be a listbox inside the control-properties. With this listbox and all main, sub, subsub and so on it should be possible to switch the control from one form to another. But why should anybody create such a functionality, if it works with the navigator?

I will set this one to Resolved and Notabug. Feel free to reopen and argument for such an enhancement.
