Description Neo 2016-05-03 23:26:27 UTC
I am creating a series of documents to be exported as PDFs. My intention is to provide a navigation system between these PDFs by using relative hyperlinks. The problem is that Draw does not allow me to insert relative hyperlinks. I either must specify a fully formed URL (or it converts it automatically to an http:// address) or an absolute link to a file in the filesystem (e.g. file:///D:/TEST/FTP%20Sync/Testing/PDF1.pdf).

I am needing the Insert Hyperlink function to permit linking to a relative link such as:

\menu.pdf
\doc1.pdf
\doc2.pdf
\DeptA\Adoc1.pdf
\DeptB\Bdoc1.pdf

Did you try "Tools > Options > Load/Save > General .. Save URLs relative.. "?
In case of questions, can you please first try Help or one of the options here:

Hi Cor. Thanks for responding. I did look at the forum. The latest post suggested there was a bug in how hyperlinks are handled since they were talking about having issues. The documentation only mentions that hyperlinks are adjusted internally. I tried to ask on the IRC channel but no one responded even after 2 hrs of lurking.

I had already tried disabling the options mentioned under Tools --> Options --> Load/Save --> General (per the manual). Unfortunately, I don't think this is working properly. In the attached screenshots, you can see what I mean. I disabled both options with the intent that nothing is done to what I type into the linked document field. However, after I add a hyperlink then come back to see it later, it always adds some kind of URL or filesystem address.

In order for this to work for me, I need to be able to specify a relative hyperlink myself without OO doing anything to the text field afterwards. In other words, it should just be a dumb text entry field.

It doesn't seem like disabling the two functions is working properly.

Sorry meant to say LO instead of OO.
