An image of a defective spreadsheet.

The grid has weird omissions on some sheets imported in .xls or .ods formats. An example is attached. I do not know how to create spreadsheets that will have this problem.

Please test with the option:
Menu/Tools/LibreOffice calc/View - Visual Aids - Grid lines -> show on colored cells.

Perhaps there are white borders around these cells? Try selecting them and press Ctrl+M to clear their formatting.

Thanks Donal, resolved as not a bug.
