Description beimaginativeegroup 2016-05-25 15:55:36 UTC
I've been trying to test another bug (#87825). To do this I need to re-add the Google Drive service as a remote. I've tried to do this a number of times however LibreOffice is just stopping to work.

There are no crashes or Not Responding messages. The only thing is that since pressing the OK button in the File Services dialog, LibreOffice freezes and even the OK button keeps the clicked state (seen as being still pressed). No other features or buttons work.

To reproduce this, probably, what is needed is to open the File Services dialog. Anyway, I have opened the dialog using these two ways and noticed the bug.

In LibreOffice Start Center, go to File > Open Remote File > Add Service.
In Writer with a new document open, Save to Remote > Add Service.

I'm choosing Google Drive as the type of file service and am not ticking Remember password.

Hope I have included enough information.

Is the problem also in 5.2/5.3?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

I don't agree with this request being left NEEDINFO. As far as I know 5.1 is the current Fresh stream and therefore is still supported. In fact, in the version field, the version is not set to master or 5.2 but 5.1.3.2 rc (I think rc should be removed from the version). Even if it works in 5.2/5.3 (5.2 is in pre-release stage - should be out in August probably and no mention of 5.3 on the website), this bug, if confirmed, might still be affecting a supported version of LibreOffice. I'm switching it back to UNCONFIRMED. If you still think it should be set as NEEDINFO, then you can do it again (I'll only change it back this time).

Thanks.

I'm not implying I would force you to use an alpha or beta version. If it turns out to be working, the fix can be found out by bisecting and backported to 5.1.

In LibreOffice 5.2.3.3, this seems to be fixed.

Thanks, closing.
