Description joe 2016-05-28 14:20:50 UTC
Installed version 5.1.3.2 a week ago, and the Save icon had a star on it. This worked to save for a couple of days, but now the star is missing and clicking on the floppy disk save icon doesn't do anything. There are at least 3 other ways to save that I am getting used to, but I always used the icon before.

Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file "user/registrymodifications.xcu", it affects all the options in Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

The Save icon is NOT missing; just inoperative. It had a star on it last week when it worked, and now the star has disappeared.
I tried your suggestion to rename registrymodifications.xcu. The Save icon still doesn't work. The star on the Save icon is still missing.

Have you test, changing the icon style?

I hadn't changed anything before, but after reading your comment, I tried 3 times to do that, and it crashed 3 times when I clicked on view.

I uninstalled the only instance of Libre Office from my Programs folder. It was listed as 5.0.5.2 there. The actual program was listed as 5.1.3.2 in the Help, About window.
I re-installed 5.1.3.2 from the same Setup file as I used last week, and the * is back. It works again, for now.
Also, the Update notification is no longer showing up, so a re-install might have been all that was necessary.
Thanks all.
