LibreOffice Calc on Ubuntu Unity 16.04

When the window manager is configured to "Show the menus for a window in the Window's Title Bar" (rather than "Show the menus for a window in the Menu Bar"), it becomes impossible to know which document you are currently working on as the current file name, which is normally in the window's title bar is overwritten with the menu. In fact, one can see the filename momentarily appear when starting the app before being immediately overwritten with the menu.

In my particular case, Ubuntu (Unity) 16.04, the window manager configuration setting that causes this behavior can be found at System Settings -> Appearance -> Behavior tab.

The only work around (I believe) is to select File - Save As, and see what default filename is suggested.

If one is working on two versions of the same document, this becomes quite problematic and time-consuming.

In Ubuntu 16.04 Unity, setting the menu to be in the window's title bar has a new configuration which allows "always show menu". This was configured by default. Selecting "show menu after mouse hover" (not exact wording) makes the system work as in Ubuntu 14.04.

Therefore, this is not a bug.

As a result of this discovery, I would like to change this ticket to an "enhancement".

Would it be possible to add the current document filename to the "status bar" on the bottom so that this menu configuration does not impact this aspect of the UI?

Sorry for the too-quick bug report.

Not unreasonable, and there is room on the Status bar to add a field. Maybe the file name but also a mouseover tool-tip picking up full path to the document.

New and adjusting the title.
